Connections
See which internal resources are configured and how they are reached.
What are connections?
In Cetegra Connect – Private Access, a connection (also called an enterprise application) represents a set of internal resources that users can reach through the GSA client. Each connection defines:
- Which internal hosts, addresses, or address ranges users can reach
- Which ports and protocols are permitted
- Which connector group routes the traffic
- Which conditional access tier is required for authentication
Viewing the connections list
Go to Connections in the sidebar. You will see all enterprise applications configured for your organisation. For each application you can see:
- Display name and description
- Connector group handling the traffic
- Conditional access tier (authentication requirement)
- Number of network segments
Click any application to see its full details.
Application details
The application detail view shows:
Network segments
A network segment defines a specific destination the application exposes. Each segment shows:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Destination type | IP address, FQDN, IP range (CIDR), or IP range |
| Destination | The actual address or hostname |
| Ports | Permitted ports or port ranges |
| Protocol | TCP, UDP, or both |
Assigned access groups
The detail view also lists which access groups are assigned to this application. Users must be members of one of these groups to gain access.
What to check when a user cannot access a resource
If a user reports they cannot reach an internal resource through the GSA client, verify the following in the Connections view:
- Does the application exist? Search for the application by name or destination.
- Is the correct destination defined? Check that the network segment matches the IP, hostname, port, and protocol the user is trying to reach.
- Is the connector group healthy? Check the connector group name and verify connector status in Settings → Connectors (read-only view).
- Is the user in an assigned access group? Check the assigned groups on the application and cross-reference with the user’s group memberships in Users.
If the configuration appears correct but access still fails, escalate to your Cetegra administrator and provide the application name and the destination the user is trying to reach.
