This guide is for HPD AgileCloud 2.0

General Information

When logged into the AgileCloud, the user will be presented with applications and data stores, which the current User is entitled to. The AgileCloud Virtual Desktop is based on the Windows Server edition but works as any other Windows Workstation/PC. It is possible to add shortcuts on the desktop/taskbar and save documents to My Documents or OneDrive (if OneDrive is a part of the solution).

File Explorer / Common

When File Explorer is accessed for the first time – the following window will appear.

On Citrix Workspace - Security Warning window - press Yes:

Then select the checkbox Read/Write Access and press OK:

It is possible to reach personal home drives as well as the company’s common drives via File Explorer. File Explorer can be found in Start Menu.

(Start > Windows System > File explorer, or search for File Explorer after clicking Start).

On the common drives, it is possible to view and modify only areas the user has been granted access.

If the user wants a folder to show up in Quick access, right-click it and select Pin to Quick access.

Folders pinned to Quick access will be available here:

If the user wants to remove a folder in Quick access, right-click it and select Unpin from Quick access.

Environment settings

It is possible to change any user environment settings as it is done on a typical windows machine. For example, set the keyboard preferences if the required language is missing.

Launching applications

All applications are located under Start Menu. It is recommended to perform first start the application from Start Menu before opening associated files or projects from within the application.

Unlock a session

By default, the session will automatically lock when inactive. To unlock it please use the menu at the top of your display.

Note: This menu might be hidden but will appear when the user hovers the mouse to the top of the monitor.

Printers

The AgileCloud will automatically map printers, which are available on local PC.

USB drive

Usually, restricted due to corporate policies.

Internet

According to corporate policies could be allowed, denied, or restricted for specific resources.

Sign out

By clicking the X in the upper right corner, the session remains active. The next time the user logs in - the current active session is accessed.

Please follow these steps to fully log out from the AgileCloud session.

Right-Click on the Windows Icon at the bottom left corner and click Sign Out:

Forced signout

Depending on the Customer’s requirements – the environment may be scheduled to restart overnight. It is advised that users always save their work in order not to lose any progress at the end of the workday.

Default settings for logoff are configured to disconnect after 2 hours of idle desktop and logged off after 3 hours.
