Prerequisites

Ensure you meet the following prerequisites before managing licenses:

  • Licenses must be acquired via the Customer Service Portal (CSP).
  • Enable group-based licensing within your Entra ID.
  • Use license group names with the format _LIC_.

Selecting a license here equates to granting membership to a license group, messaging out the group addition for clarity.

  • Name: Understand which licenses are undergoing changes.
  • Current Count: Total number of licenses.
  • Available Licenses: Unused licenses available for assignments.
  • Status: Renewal date and health of the license.
  • Term Duration: Subscription type (e.g., Monthly or Annually).
  • Last Sync: Recent synchronization date for license info.
